Home Care Instructions

POST VISIT
Do not shampoo or wet bonds for two days after application. They must finish the bonding process.

BRUSHING
Brush two-three times a day with GL brush gifted at visit. Brush out the ends then work your way up. Next, beginning at the nape brush row by row, scalp to ends thoroughly. Square, oval and travel sizes available to purchase. No ball tip brushes.

WASHING
Wash every two-four days. Wet all of your hair at natural fall (never flip upside down). Gently cleanse the scalp area thoroughly then finger comb through mids and ends. Do not scrub mids and ends. Avoid swirl type motions and practice a gentle up and down or side to side method to keep all of the hair neat. Follow up with your conditioner avoiding direct bond contact. Use a mask one-two times per week. Sulfate free shampoos are best. Having a water softener and filter also helps the general condition of your hair and skin.

BLOW DRYING
To prep for blowing out, towel dry your hair in a pressing motion avoiding harsh rubbing. If you use a towel turban use them backwards to keep the hair at natural fall, just wrapping the ends up to the top of your head. I prefer the Aquis brand which I have available as they absorb a lot of water and keep frizz down.

Next spray Anti-Tap onto bonds to help with pH and hydration for bounce in the hair. Then apply leave-in conditioner and heat protectant as a minimum to mids and ends. Brush lightly to detangle from ends to mids then scalp area. Rough blow dry the bonds and lengths but do not keep harsh heat on the bonds this can weaken them over time. Always dry at natural fall, never flip upside down.

You may use a round brush, but try using your flat GL brush until your hair is 80% dry. Then go through your hair with a round brush on the ends (preferably boar bristle) section by section at natural fall. Any free zone of your natural hair may be over directed for more volume.

NATURAL WAVY STYLE
If you want to wear a wavy more natural look, after applying your products blow dry the bonds for a few minutes and the rest of your hair may air dry or be diffused.

PRODUCTS
Professional products only. Shampoo and hydrating conditioner, mask (1x/week) and leave-in conditioner followed up with heat protectant is recommended. Anti-Tap will also help with pH, bond strength, moisture and bounce. Keep conditioner & oily products off attachments, apply to mids & ends. Dry shampoos are ok in root area. Hairsprays are drying use sparingly.

HOT TOOLS
Minimal heat styling is most recommended GL extensions are 100% human hair just like yours. Keep all hot tools 1.5″ away from bonds.

CLARIFYING AND TREATMENTS
Clarify every 4-6 weeks or at maintenance visit. Treatments in salon are great as well as glosses!

TRIMS
Trims recommended every 6-8 weeks as a great refresher to maintain no split ends!

NIGHT ROUTINE
Never go to sleep with wet hair. Always pull GL into a softly held ponytail/braid while sleeping or in any activity that has your hair blowing in the wind to prevent tangling. Silk or satin hair ties and scrunchies are best to reduce stress on hair. Silk or satin pillow cases also help anti age, anti crease and anti bed head for hair & skin.

SWIMMING
Swimming or full submersion isn’t highly recommend, however if you do braid and pre-wet your hair with shower water. When finished spray with anti-tap or leave in conditioner until washing.
